Upon our arrival in South Africa, our first stop was with Alan and Eileen Pownall.   Several people visited during our stay.  Unfortunately we did not take enough photographs!  Sorry Al and Eileen - no good close ups of you :(

Approximately 45 minutes out of Johannesburg, is a Lion Park where lions roam the park freely.  One is able to drive through the park and see how the Lions live and interact with each other.  The cubs, for security reasons, are kept separate in a large fenced area.
